I work predominately with printed matter and strive to create work that achieves beauty and simplicity. The best design work is achieved as a result of thorough research; you cannot make informed design decisions without a good knowledge and understanding of what you’re trying to communicate. I enjoy taking on new challenges and collaborating with other creative’s. I believe design can be a valid tool to aid progression and help people as well as making life look better.
My self-directed study is titled Build and it investigates the different ways things are built in the world we live in, from new suburban town centre’s to my own career. My project has ranged from a study of the re-building of Berlin, to a documentation of life in the suburban commuter towns of Bradley Stoke and Emerson’s green on the outskirts of Bristol.
