“Sweet Revenge”, 2009
During the making of my animation, I saw the film ‘Coraline’ in cinema. The animation was perfect and the backgrounds inspired me and influenced the look of my film. I especially liked the details of the garden scene, for instance the lighting, colour and animation of the flowers was fabulous.
Within the film there were two worlds. One, which was light and happy and another which turned out to be dark and dangerous. This inspired me to have a safe and happy mood turning into a dangerous mood through the backgrounds and sound.
“Sweet Revenge” is based on the Tale of “Little Red Riding Hood“. The little wolf’s curiosity and urge for adventure cause him to face difficulties that he will never forget. Red Riding Hood is mysteriously working her way towards her goal in the shadows, while the witch is pretending to be gentle and caring in order to deceive the wolf. However, nothing goes as she predicts...
